Against Stigma
UCM Chair – Group 5 Against Stigma presents the Guide of Good Practices Against Stigma, an ideal platform for identifying the main characteristics of practices that can be considered as good. This guide aims to provide information and guidelines that can guide the action of both professionals and institutions in the field of mental health and related, promoting the implementation of effective and appropriate actions to fight stigma in all its aspects. To achieve this, the main objective of this guide is to identify and present those indicators that improve the creation and the evaluation of good practices against stigma.
We review the idea of “good practice”, we define stigma and present the main theoretical models that support the different actions that could be taken and the effectiveness of anti-stigma actions.

UCM Chair – Group 5 Against Stigma want to create a platform for research, communication and dissemination of scientific knowledge, which allows us to improve the fight against stigma in our society through research, training, knowledge transfer and the use of environmental and cultural strategies.
